So many things changed in 2019 for me.  And 2021 was a very tricky year for all of us.  But that's the way things are, aren't they? It's called "life".

And now, in 2022, life is still an adventure story for everyone...perhaps more of an adventure than we want, yes?

Of course, you know that life, as we know it right now, is pretty much a safe-at-home situation.  But, at the same time, we are all part of a revolution. 

Many march. Many mourn for many reasons, including the horrible and unnecessary deaths that have turned the eyes and hearts of the world on our country. 

Many work to make lasting changes, in themselves and their communities.

 

A few deny the realities, or rage to keep the status quo, 

or try to hide their heads in the sand.

You can hide, but the realities won't go away.

  

If you haven't permitted it into your home via tv news or social media,

when you feel safe enough to come out into the world,

the realities will still be there, 

and the change-makers will be there, 

and those who mourn and march will be there, 

and those who seek justice, shout freedom

and demand equal and 

unconditional acceptance, yes, 

we'll be there.

  

And life will go on.  

A different life, hopefully, eventually, a better life.

 

I mourn for what we all have lost.

And I support young, proud voices and older voices that have have been raised over decades, calling for no more than what any human being deserves:  

the power to live a good, safe life.

I pray for their safety.  I am proud of their strength and courage.

 

I am still slowly revising my website, and keeping up with monthly programming announcements as life permits.  These days, life is still tough.

I am also still working on gratitude, 

for we are grateful for our home, our health, our loved ones, 

and for just living this life.

 

May the world find its happiness.  May I live to see it.
